Star Wars Jedi: Survivor developers have packed the game with content that can be explored before and after the final credits. Players can visit the ever-changing cantina on Cobol, where new patrons and activities appear based on their actions. More details about the saloon and game statistics were revealed by Respawn at the GDC 2024 conference.
Narrative designer Cole Swany and senior writer Cheyenne Pualani Morrin shared that the team dedicated significant effort and time to create side content and write dialogues for the 18 characters in the bar, recording over 5,000 lines of dialogue.
The visitors’ dialogues change based on the in-game world’s current state, with 17 different replicas. For example, Greez may inquire about tasks and comment on Cal Kestis’ achievements. Regular visits to Cobol are essential to not miss out on prepared conversations for each occasion.
The saloon can be visited even after the final credits have rolled, as 70% of users continued playing Jedi: Survivor after completing the main story line. Most players spent several more hours in the title, exploring side quests, unexplored areas, holographic chess, and more. Additionally, new content such as echoes is unlocked after completing the campaign.
Released in April 2023 on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is set to have a third installment, as confirmed by Electronic Arts. Ports for PS4 and Xbox One are also in the works.
