During CinemaCon this year, Charles Rivkin, the Chairman and CEO of the Motion Picture Association, unveiled a bold plan to crack down on digital piracy. Rivkin announced that the association is collaborating with Congress to introduce legislation for blocking piracy websites in the United States. He emphasized that nearly 60 countries already utilize site-blocking measures to combat piracy, including some of America’s closest allies and leading democracies.
