Paradox Interactive has faced some challenges this week, with another setback hitting the publisher. The release of Prison Architect 2, the highly anticipated sequel to the 2015 cult favorite, has been postponed once again. Originally scheduled for May 7 (after already being delayed from March 26), the game will now launch on September 3.
Despite having all platforms certified for Prison Architect 2, the team at Double Eleven encountered technical issues related to memory usage and minimum spec configuration failures. While progress has been made in addressing these issues, new technical hurdles have emerged, resulting in an increase in crashes.
The additional development time will be utilized by Double Eleven to enhance the stability of the prison management simulation and refine its features. Paradox also plans to offer players a glimpse into the development process during this period.
