The longer list of adjustments to “Story Flow and Logic” also notes the wider statement that “Shadowheart should more easily follow up on her proposed romance moments in Act III,” offering a solid dose of encouragement for anyone struggling to romance Shadowheart in Baldur’s Gate 3.
It’s not hard to see the romantic appeal in Shadowheart, a Half-Elf Cleric often helpful for nabbing party members from the jaws of death in battle. Luckily, several other adjustments in Patch 1 help to further smooth out relationships with Shadowheart. The main focus here is on animations, with several visual issues that could occur during Shadowheart romance scenes being resolved and a new animation being added to improve continuity. The patch also contains some fixes to Story Flow and Logic surrounding Shadowheart outside the romantic sphere, cleaning up a couple instances of dialogue and ensuring that she doesn’t hand over the mysterious artifact when she shouldn’t.
