Baldur’s Gate 3 Final Version Receives First Hotfix

As ‍promised by Sven Vincke, the ⁢grandiose role-playing game Baldur’s Gate 3 has received its first ⁢hotfix after leaving early access. Today’s update fixes several‍ crashes, errors, and much more. Its ‌size is⁣ 210 MB and after it, the game version number will no longer be displayed during‌ dialogues.

Hello everyone! Congratulations ⁤on the game’s launch day after BG3! Thank you⁤ so much for all‍ the love and⁣ support you ‌have shown Baldur’s Gate⁢ 3. It was unreal -‌ finally launching‍ this‍ game‌ after six years of development, ‍and it was ‌an incredible honor to see so many of ⁢you play ‌and ⁣discover what the team has created. We hope‍ that BG3 will ‍bring you ‍joy for many months and even years. We ⁣have⁢ read your ‌messages about issues with game⁢ saves and have found the ‌culprit – ⁣our cross-saves.⁢ Considering that this feature ⁢will only be‍ useful on September 6th when the⁤ PlayStation 5 version is⁢ released (and more), ⁢we have‌ decided to temporarily disable it ⁤to address the issue in the‌ near future. You won’t‌ notice anything in the game, and the saves in Steam Cloud will not be affected⁣ by this change.
