As promised by Sven Vincke, the grandiose role-playing game Baldur’s Gate 3 has received its first hotfix after leaving early access. Today’s update fixes several crashes, errors, and much more. Its size is 210 MB and after it, the game version number will no longer be displayed during dialogues.
Hello everyone! Congratulations on the game’s launch day after BG3! Thank you so much for all the love and support you have shown Baldur’s Gate 3. It was unreal - finally launching this game after six years of development, and it was an incredible honor to see so many of you play and discover what the team has created. We hope that BG3 will bring you joy for many months and even years. We have read your messages about issues with game saves and have found the culprit – our cross-saves. Considering that this feature will only be useful on September 6th when the PlayStation 5 version is released (and more), we have decided to temporarily disable it to address the issue in the near future. You won’t notice anything in the game, and the saves in Steam Cloud will not be affected by this change.
