A bakery in California has crafted an incredibly lifelike and awe-inspiring bread sculpture of the Clicker.
One House Bakery in Benicia, as reported by Eater San Francisco, has created a bread sculpture of the Clicker, one of the infected enemies from the popular game series The Last of Us by Naughty Dog. The sculpture was made by Catherine and Hanneli Pervan, a mother-daughter duo who also co-own the bakery.
If you’re not familiar with the Clicker, it represents one of the stages of infection caused by the Cordyceps fungus in The Last of Us game. As time goes on, the Clicker loses its sight, gains heightened hearing, and emits rapid clicking sounds. In simpler terms, it’s not the type of infection you’d want to come across in a post-apocalyptic world.
In an article by SF Chronicle, it’s mentioned that the team spent over 400 hours creating this masterpiece, which involved inflating dough-coated balloons to form the visible mushrooms on the sculpture.
