Ascension of Blade Character in Honkai: Star Rail and Required Materials

Leveling and ascending Blade in Honkai: Star Rail is equally important as giving the character a proper build and team comp. The new 5-star hero was introduced in the game’s campaign with Version 1.0. Now, Blade is playable with Honkai: Star Rail 1.2. The Stellaron Hunter uses Wind as his main element, as follows the Path of the Destruction. Blade is a DPS character who relies on HP loss to intensify the power of his regular attacks, making him a double-edged sword to wield, but one that is effective in wiping out opponents and withstanding longer battles.

To be able to take full advantage of the character, however, players will need to farm in order to get the materials required for Blade’s ascension and Talent upgrades in Honkai: Star Rail. Some of the items may have been pre-farmed prior to the character’s release, but there are two sets of items for Blade that were only introduced with Version 1.2. This means that players will have to farm and use a significant amount of Trailblaze Power after Blade’s release to get all the necessary resources to take him to the maximum level.

Some of the main materials needed for ascending Blade are the Immortal Scionette and its evolutions. This item is exclusive to the Xianzhou Luofu and can be tricky to obtain. Immortal Scionette and its evolved forms, Immortal Aeroblossom and Immortal Lumintwig, respectively, drop from Mara-Struck Soldiers, which can be found on the Luofu maps, like Cloudford and Stargazer Navalia – players who farmed materials for Jing Yuan in Honkai: Star Rail may have a few leftovers.

As Blade’s level rises, players will be required to have Immortal Scionette’s evolved forms to continue ascending him – the Omni-Synthesizer can transform 3x Scionettes into 1x Aeroblossom, and 3x Aeroblossoms into 1x Lumintwig.

The second important type of material needed to ascend Blade in Honkai: Star Rail is called Ascendant Debris. This item drops from the new Stagnant Shadow challenge against The Ascended, which can be found on the new Alchemy Commission map. Players will need a fair number of Ascendant Debris to get Blade to level 80, the current level cap in the game, so they will need to farm this Stagnant Shadow a few times – if they do not have Fuel to spare, it may take a few days to obtain all 65x Ascendant Debris. The table below lists all the necessary items for Blade’s full ascension, according to Game8:
