U.S. Vetoes U.N.⁤ Resolution Urging Gaza Cease-Fire

The United States has vetoed a United Nations Security ⁣Council resolution that called for a cease-fire between Israel and Hamas. The reason behind this decision was that the resolution⁤ did not ⁢include the condition of releasing‍ hostages held in⁢ Gaza.

During negotiations, we emphasized the importance of linking the cease-fire to the release of hostages.
