A Guide to Romancing Minthara in Baldur’s Gate 3

Although the‌ Drow ⁣leader Minthara⁤ is often encountered as an enemy ‌within Baldur’s Gate 3,⁢ there⁤ is actually a chance to⁤ romance this⁣ dangerous woman if ‌your character can align with‍ her beliefs. Unlike other relationships, Minthara does not join your party. This ⁢unique dynamic ⁤adds complexity ⁤to the ‌romance, ⁢with more opportunities to⁢ make mistakes.

Minthara’s interest in your character depends on⁤ the level of⁤ Approval she has for you. ‍Approval⁢ is earned by making choices that⁤ other ‌characters would appreciate, which are usually presented as dialogue options during conversations. In Act 1 of ⁤Baldur’s⁣ Gate ⁣3,‍ Minthara has‍ taken a stance against⁣ the Druid Grove,‌ so the first step to gaining ⁢her Approval is to support her in the upcoming conflict.

After⁤ a‍ successful ⁢raid, your character will have another chance ⁣to converse ⁢with Minthara ‌at⁤ the Sanctum. During this ‌conversation, ⁣be⁢ sure to⁤ mention how “It’s⁤ been an honor⁢ to fight alongside you”⁢ in⁣ reference ‍to the attack on the Grove. ⁤As new power awakens within your⁣ character ‍due to the tadpole in their head, choose the option to embrace this change in Baldur’s Gate 3.

Similar ‍to other romances ⁢in Baldur’s⁣ Gate 3,⁤ the⁢ final step⁣ is to‌ open your ⁤mind ‌to Minthara‍ before ⁤attending⁤ the ⁢goblin‍ celebration ‌at⁤ the Grove. By this point,⁤ Minthara will ‌have already shown interest in you‍ during⁤ previous conversations, ‍but this is⁤ where she explicitly asks for your companionship. Agree with Minthara and declare⁤ yourself as ⁢hers to⁤ unlock the romance ⁤option with ⁢the Drow woman.

A ⁤special romance cutscene will occur ‍when you choose Minthara as ⁣your ⁣partner ⁤for the ⁣night later in Baldur’s ⁢Gate 3.
