A Guide to Playing Cammy in Street Fighter 6: Tips and Tricks for the Character

The famed Killer Bee Cammy returns in Street Fighter 6. Her playstyle is similar to how she performed in Street Fighter 5, making her easy to pick up for returning players. However, Cammy has also received buffs to make her even more fearsome on the ground and in the air.

Cammy is a highly offensive rush-down character. She constantly wants to be in the opponent’s face and make them hesitant about their next move. Her own attack inputs are rather simple, using classic quarter-circle directional with one or two punches or kicks. While one can comfortably play Cammy with a standard console controller, a good fight stick for Street Fighter 6 will give it even more precision.

Many of Cammy’s special moves also have invincibility frames or other means of evasion. Quick Spin Knuckle can dodge fireballs when executed as a medium or heavy version, which makes it great to use on characters like Ryu or Luke. When using the move in Overdrive it will hop to the other side of the opponent before striking. This can be a great way of getting around armor-excessive characters like Street Fighter 6’s Marisa.

Ideally, Cammy wants to hit enemies that are either completely in a neutral stance or are attempting to unleash a combo of their own. When the latter happens, players will score a Punish Counter which deals extra damage and sets them up to be more susceptible to a combo for around half a second. These can be finished off with Super Arts like Killer Bee Spin, provided they have enough gauge total stocked.

However, many of Cammy’s own high and mid-attacks are extremely unsafe if blocked. Low attacks like her Crouching Medium Kick are typically easier to recover from and follow up if blocked, but it is still not ideal to rely on normal and specials.
