Broadcom’s ‌$61 billion acquisition ⁤of⁤ VMware has been completed after undergoing extensive scrutiny from regulators, according to a press release by the ‌company. The acquisition received approval from China, albeit with certain restrictions, ensuring that the network chip manufacturer obtained all⁤ necessary approvals. 

“Broadcom has obtained legal merger clearance in various countries ​including Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, the European Union, Israel, Japan, South Africa, South Korea,⁤ Taiwan, ‌the United ⁢Kingdom, as well‍ as foreign investment ⁤control clearance in⁢ all relevant jurisdictions,” stated‍ the company. “We are thrilled to welcome VMware to Broadcom ⁣and unite our ⁢engineering-focused, innovation-driven teams.”
