Exciting new Pokémon TCG cards are on the horizon with the upcoming Twilight Masquerade expansion. These cards will feature Legendaries and special characters from Pokémon Scarlet and Violet’s DLCs. The release of Pokémon TCG: Twilight Masquerade is scheduled for late May and will explore the first of the DLCs for the Generation 9 games: The Teal Mask. Within this set, players and collectors will have the opportunity to obtain cards directly linked to the Land of Kitakami, the citizens of Mossui Town, and the various Pokémon that inhabit the location.
Twilight Masquerade is the Western version of the Japanese duo sets, Crimson Haze and Mask of Change. New cards for the Mask of Change expansion have been unveiled, showcasing Legendaries and Trainers from Kitakami. Notably, the new cards for the upcoming Twilight Masquerade expansion for Pokémon TCG include the Loyal Three Legendary trio, as well as Poltchageist, Sinistcha, and the siblings Carmine and Kieran from Pokémon Scarlet and Violet: The Teal Mask, as well as The Indigo Disk and Mochi Mayhem.
The new cards for the Mask of Change expansion, which will be incorporated into Twilight Masquerade for its Western release, are primarily focused on creatures and people from Kitakami. Sinistcha and Poltchageist are exclusive to the location introduced with the Teal Mask DLC for Scarlet and Violet. The same applies to the Loyal Three, composed of Munkidori, Fezandipiti, and Okidogi. Despite being students of Blueberry Academy from The Indigo Disk, Carmine and Kieran are both from Kitakami, justifying their addition to the new Pokémon TCG sets.
In addition to the aforementioned cards, a new Trainer Item card called Bug Catching Set has been revealed. This card is designed to assist players with Grass-type decks. These new card reveals add to the excitement surrounding the Pokémon TCG: Crimson Haze cards, which previously showcased other items that will be integrated into the Twilight Masquerade set later this year. The focus was on cards of Bloodmoon Ursaluna from Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, as well as more Paradox creatures and a small tease at Hydrapple.
More details about Twilight Masquerade will be unveiled as its release date approaches. The Trading Card Game is gearing up to represent Gen 9’s DLCs, with the release of Pokémon TCG: Stellar Miracle potentially hinting at the game covering The Indigo Disk DLC and its related contents.
