As we approach the second month of 2024, Alkimia Interactive and THQ Nordic have unveiled the latest concept art for Gothic Remake. This time, they surprised fans with a striking image of a fiery demon. The departure from the original design is truly remarkable. But don’t take our word for it – see for yourself.
One thing is for sure – the fiery demon in Gothic Remake will be massive, with an even larger wingspan. As Xardas’s minion, its imposing posture is more befitting of a guardian we’ll encounter at the necromancer tower, rather than the “flying ball” from the original game.
It seems the creators drew inspiration from the demons in the game ArcaniA. It’s interesting to note that the fiery demon only appears in the first “Gothic”, and there’s only one of them in Xardas’s tower, although the other “regular” demons in the second part look identical. In Night of the Raven, a fiery demon resembling a quadruped beast makes an appearance.
The Alkimia Interactive studio confirmed on the Gothic Community Discord channel that the remake will feature the fiery demon (in the necromancer tower), “regular” demons, and demon princes (lords of demons).
Gothic Remake is set to launch on PC, PS5, and XSX/S, with a likely release date in 2024.
