Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is gearing up for its final updates, with developers announcing a major update 1.5 that will introduce online multiplayer to the game, featuring both cooperative and competitive modes.
Cooperative mode Chaos Mode
Embark on a journey to fight demons and bosses in randomly generated locations alongside other players. By completing special challenges before facing the boss, you can obtain powerful upgrades. How long can you survive in this seemingly endless mode?
Experience both local cooperative and online gameplay, although cross-play is not supported.

Competitive Versus Mode
Enter an exclusive battle room where demons attack and souls drop, which can be used to acquire upgrades or debuffs for your opponent. The last one standing emerges as the winner.
Just like in cooperative mode, Versus Mode offers both local and online multiplayer without cross-play.

Other updates
- Version 1.5 will also introduce three paid cosmetic sets, each containing unique clothing and weapons with upgradable characteristics. Wearing all items in a set unlocks a special bonus.
- Additionally, a free cosmetic set will be automatically added to all users’ inventories upon the patch release.
- Following the 1.5 update, the add-on Classic II: Dominique’s Curse will be released, expanding on the classic gameplay with a larger map and a new canonical storyline.
With the release of Chaos Mode and Versus Mode, the developers will fulfill their promises made during the Kickstarter campaign in 2015. The distribution of physical copies for the PC version is the final step, with digital keys already provided to owners. PC version boxes are currently in production.
Patch 1.5 is set to launch on May 9 for PC, PlayStation, and Xbox, followed by a release on Nintendo Switch on May 16.
Paid cosmetic sets and a free cosmetic set inspired by the Shantae series by WayForward will also be available.
