The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom introduces new areas of the map that are tied to a Skyview Tower, including one near Sahasra Slope. However, players may find it tricky to open the door of this tower. Out of the twelve Skyview Towers that players can find, this particular building appears early in the game. By using some of Link’s new tricks and abilities, players can reach the door and expand their exploration with the rewarded map upgrade.
The Sahasra Slope Skyview Tower is located in the southeast section of Central Hyrule and becomes available around the same time as Lindor’s Brow Skyview Tower. These areas act as tutorials in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, teaching players some of the game’s new mechanics. Many of Link’s brand-new abilities are needed to get past the locked entrances of either structure, which also act as fast travel points when activated.
Initially, players must first talk to Billson in front of the Skyview Tower door, who expresses their frustration at how the inside of the place is locked off. This NPC in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom does give players a helpful hint, though, saying that there happens to be a cave below the Tower that players should check out. From the entrance, players may find this cave by traveling down to the base of the Tower rock and to their left.
In the cave, players will notice several large rocks blocking the way toward a set of tunnels that lead under the Tower. Using a fused weapon in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, made from a Thick Stick and the boulder near the stone wall, helps players create a Stone Hammer, which can break these rocks. Players have to break the rocks in the cave, first forward and eventually to the right, to get directly below the platform of the Skyview Tower.
Link has the Ascend ability that players must use to jump up through the Tower floor, getting them inside. Simply removing some sticks that keep the door stuck swings the gates wide open, much to Billson’s surprise. By learning how to open the Sahasra Slope Skyview Tower in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, players have an excellent opportunity to explore more of the world than they ever could before.
