Unleash the Force with Star Wars Outlaws’ Cutting-Edge RTX Direct Illumination and RTGI Support

NVIDIA has just revealed its ⁢support for DLSS 3 and NVIDIA Reflex in the highly anticipated game Star Wars Outlaws by Ubisoft. Along with ray tracing, the game will also ‍feature RTX Direct Illumination and Ray⁢ Traced Global Illumination (RTGI) to ‌enhance the Snowdrop Engine’s graphical capabilities.

According to NVIDIA, RTX Direct Illumination is a‍ groundbreaking technology that identifies crucial light samples in Star Wars Outlaws and accurately models shadows during ray tracing. This results in high performance, especially on GeForce RTX 40 GPUs with 4th generation⁢ RT cores, making ray tracing even faster.

Ubisoft’s Technical Director, Tobias Carlsson, expressed excitement about creating the first open-world game set in ⁤the Star ⁤Wars universe. With DLSS 3 performance and expanded ray tracing ‌possibilities, players can fully immerse themselves in the ⁤adventures⁣ of Key Vess and Nix in various iconic⁢ and unseen locations across the ⁣galaxy.

While Ubisoft has not mentioned support for DLSS 3.5, it’s ⁤worth noting that the ⁢Snowdrop Engine already has its ‍own ⁤integrated denoiser, as seen in ‍Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora.

RTXDI technology has previously been implemented in Cyberpunk 2077 and will soon be featured ⁣in ‍ARK: Survival Ascended by Wildcard Studio.
