Two game-changing features added to MS Paint, a graphics editor reminiscent of the ’90s

Microsoft is⁣ updating its Paint App after 38 years, adding support for image transparency and ⁢layers. This update aims to make the app more useful for advanced image editing. Dave Grochocki, Principal Product Manager for Windows Inbox Apps, announced the new features and their potential in a blog post.

With the combination of layers, transparency, and ‍other tools in Paint, users⁤ can create exciting new images and artwork. The new background removal feature allows for the quick⁤ creation of interesting⁢ layered compositions,” Grochocki said.

To access these‌ features, users need to click on the new layer option‍ in⁤ the toolbar, ‍which opens a panel on the side of the canvas.‍ From there, they can hide, duplicate, merge, or delete layers, similar ‌to other image editing software.
