Earned throughout Sanctuary in Diablo IV, Aspects from the Codex of Power are buffs players can inscribe onto their gear, with certain abilities being best for classes such as the Necromancer. Some Aspects are universal across all classes, but ones for the Necromancer increase the power of their summoned Minions or death magic. Although specific abilities from the Codex may not be useful for every Necromancer, many can be used to adjust a build to become far stronger.
Players should keep in mind that the Aspects they extract from Legendary gear with the Occultistcan only be imprinted once. Once players unlock an Aspect in Diablo 4, the only way it stays in the Codex of Power is by completing dungeons or finishing missions in the main story. Thankfully, the number of rewards and XP players can collect from these areas make them worth visiting.
The drastic increase in damage happens far more often than players would think since Shadow Damage attacks usually have a large Area of Effect (AoE). This means that many enemies are hit at once for the Shadowblight effect, either through Minions or the Necromancer’s magic in Diablo 4. As a result, this Aspect triggers nearly constantly, giving players a nice, consistent buff to their damage to contend with enemies in higher World Tiers of difficulty.

Corpses are essential for Necromancers in Diablo 4, either summoning skeletal Minions are being used for other ability properties and the Flesh-Rending Aspect, which gives players 10 Essence when Decompose spawns a Corpse. Since Essence is the primary resource for this class, players will want to constantly build it from Basic Skills like Decompose. Decompose deals shadow damage and turn enemies into Corpses often as it generates Essence.
