Top 10 Early Fuse Combinations in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

In The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, Link has a new ability to Fuse items to his weapons and shields. This feature allows players to creatively alter their inventory with useful and unique items. Almost anything that can be interacted with can be fused, including weapons onto other weapons.

To obtain the ability to Fuse in Zelda: Tears of The Kingdom, players must complete one of the four Shrines during the tutorial on the Great Sky Island. While there is no wrong way to Fuse materials, some weapon fusions are more useful to Link than others.

One of the best early ranged options in Zelda: Tears of The Kingdom is Fusing arrows with wings from creatures. The wings allow the arrows to fly further than their normal distance, making it an excellent option for players who prefer ranged combat. This can be especially helpful when facing larger groups of powerful enemies that Link cannot take on all at once.

Shield Fusions are more complicated to find a good use for, but the Puffshroom is an excellent exception. When an enemy attacks the Puffshroom Shield, it lets out its vapor, creating a fog over the area. This creates a blinding effect on enemies and allows Link to sneak in for a couple of hits, making it valuable in fights with more difficult enemies.

Another notable option early in Zelda: Tears of The Kingdom is the Flux Core. Players can encounter a mini-boss during their tutorial Shrines on Great Sky Island. After defeating it, the enemy will drop a Flux Core, which can be Fused onto any melee weapon to increase its damage. This is a great way to have a semi-powerful weapon right out of the gate.
