Nintendo has finally given Zelda fans a taste of what’s to come with a 10-minute gameplay trailer for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Zelda producer Eiji Aonuma explains that Tears has changed the world in many ways, including the addition of sky islands that float high above Hyrule. Link can reach these islands using his new “recall” powers, which allow him to alter an object’s movement, or “ascend,” which lets him pass through ceilings in a path of twisting turquoise light. The recall power also lets Link take a giant boulder back up to a floating island like a cool rock elevator. With ascend, Link no longer has to scale the sides of mountains, keeping an eye on his stamina meter while doing so.
