The Most Inconvenient Spot for Saving Discovered by Skyrim Gamer

A Skyrim player has discovered the most unfortunate place to save in the game, resulting in hilarious unintended consequences. The clip showcases one of Skyrim’s most well-known glitches, which was first discovered upon the game’s release.

Since Bethesda’s RPG was first released in 2011, players have experienced almost everything Skyrim has to offer. Despite this, the game remains one of the most played games out there, surpassing many newer releases. Its modding community is legendary, with some of the most intricate fan-made content gaming has ever seen. Like many Bethesda games, Skyrim was buggy upon release, but those glitches only added to the game’s undeniable charm.

The clip was posted to Reddit by user vandavender and depicts the player getting trapped in a save loop in Castle Karstaag. The player saved right as a Frost Giant attacked, resulting in them being flung into the air to their death every time the game loaded. Over the years, many Skyrim players have fallen victim to the incredibly powerful attacks of Giants, and vandavender is unlikely to be the last. It is still unknown why the game’s physics engine behaves in this manner with Giants, but it is a bug so amusing that Bethesda has never patched it out.

Players in the thread immediately compared the scene to the 2016 Marvel movie Doctor Strange, where the protagonist becomes trapped in an almost identical death loop. Others expressed sympathy for the player, who may have had to reload a save from hours prior to escape the permanent loop. Skyrim players must be cautious about where they save their game, as Bethesda’s open world has many threats for gamers to avoid during their playthroughs. In this situation, at least the player can reload a previous save, so the game is not entirely broken. However, depending on their last save, it may still cost them some gameplay, which is undoubtedly frustrating.
