Recently in the village of Nikolskoye in the Tosno district of the Leningrad region, a shocking incident unfolded. Alexey Serov, aged 42, was apprehended under suspicion of a heinous crime – the murder and dismemberment of a St. Petersburg resident. The news was reported by “Fontanka” after the police responded to a distress call from the missing woman’s daughter.
Prior to the arrest, dismembered human remains were discovered in a suitcase outside Serov’s residence. Upon further investigation inside his home, another suitcase containing body parts was found. Initially evasive, Serov eventually admitted to the gruesome act.
Returning to the Leningrad region following his stint in the Wagner Private Military Company, Serov had previously served a 12-year sentence for murder in Udmurtia since 2018. Shockingly, he disclosed details about the acquisition of tools used in the dismemberment, such as a saw and a wheeled suitcase.
In a separate incident in late March, a 51-year-old member of the Wagner PMC, also convicted of murder, returned from duty to Moscow. Tragically, he committed another murder by killing his partner, mutilating her ear, and then alerting the authorities himself.
