The Dark Symphony: A War Veteran’s Return to Leningrad Oblast Ends in Gruesome Murder

Recently in ⁣the village ⁤of Nikolskoye⁣ in the Tosno district of ‌the Leningrad region, a shocking incident​ unfolded. Alexey Serov,⁤ aged 42, was apprehended‌ under suspicion of a heinous crime – ⁤the​ murder and dismemberment of a ‌St. Petersburg resident. The news was reported⁢ by “Fontanka” after the police⁢ responded to ‌a distress call from the missing woman’s⁢ daughter.

Prior to ⁢the arrest, dismembered human⁢ remains ‌were discovered in a ‍suitcase outside Serov’s residence. Upon further‌ investigation inside his home, another suitcase containing body ⁤parts was found. Initially evasive, Serov eventually admitted‌ to the​ gruesome act.

Returning to the Leningrad region following his‍ stint in ⁤the Wagner Private‍ Military Company,‌ Serov had​ previously served a 12-year sentence​ for murder ​in Udmurtia since 2018. Shockingly,⁣ he disclosed​ details about the acquisition ‍of tools used in the dismemberment, such as a saw and a wheeled suitcase.

In ⁣a separate incident ‍in late March, a 51-year-old member of⁤ the Wagner PMC, also convicted of murder, returned from duty to Moscow. Tragically,‍ he committed another murder⁣ by killing his partner, ⁢mutilating her ear, and ⁢then alerting the authorities ⁤himself.
