In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Eric Kripke, the mastermind behind “The Boys,” addressed criticisms from viewers who feel uncomfortable with the show’s social commentary.
Kripke defended himself against accusations of promoting “wokism” by explaining that the storyline involving Homelander’s court appearance, reminiscent of Donald Trump, was written long before any real-life events unfolded. He emphasized that the series delves into controversial topics that reflect modern society, regardless of current events.
Unapologetic towards offended viewers, Kripke suggested that those who find the show too provocative should simply opt for something less challenging.
The first three episodes of the highly-anticipated fourth season of “The Boys” will premiere on June 13 exclusively on Prime Video.
