Tesla has announced a recall of approximately 3,878 Cybertruck vehicles due to a potential issue with the accelerator pedal. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration notice revealed that the pedal cover could become dislodged and trapped by the interior rim, causing the vehicle to accelerate uncontrollably.
Videos circulating online demonstrate the problem, showing how a faulty accelerator cover could slide up and jam, leading to the vehicle being stuck in full power mode even after the driver removes their foot. Tesla has assured owners that they will replace and repair the pedals free of charge.
