The Pokémon Trading Card Game welcomes the Gen 9 cards and Terastal Pokémon with the release of Scarlet ex and Violet ex in Japan. The Terastal mechanic of these Pokémon changes their type into their Tera Type, which works alongside the returning EX mechanic. Regular EX Pokémon will not take damage while on the bench, while EX Pokémon with crystaline font “ex” symbols will take on the Terastal effect. This makes the Terastal Pokémon of Scarlet ex and Violet ex the most exciting addition to the Pokémon TCG.
