The release of Tekken 8 on Steam has been met with overwhelmingly positive feedback. The game has reached a peak of 49,977 concurrent players, and even now, it continues to maintain a strong player base with over 45,000 users online.
These numbers mark a significant achievement for Tekken 8, especially when compared to its predecessor, Tekken 7, which peaked at around 18,900 users. This represents a remarkable growth of 167%.
While these figures do not directly translate to sales, they do indicate a strong performance for the game. It’s clear that there is a heightened level of interest in Tekken, particularly on the Steam platform. Unfortunately, we do not have access to console data, so the full extent of the game’s success is not yet known.
Notably, Tekken 8 has surpassed the peak concurrent player count of Mortal Kombat 1 on Steam, which reached 38,129 users. Despite being released four months ago, Mortal Kombat 1 has seen a maximum of 5,000 concurrent players in the past month.
However, Tekken 8 falls short of the peak concurrent user count of Street Fighter 6, which reached 70,573 users. Even so, with over 18,000 users currently playing, Street Fighter 6 continues to perform well, considering it was released eight months ago.
