Recently, a team of modders unveiled an exciting project called Project Tamriel: A Starfield Creation Kit Project. Their goal was to recreate the entire world of Tamriel from The Elder Scrolls series within the universe of Starfield. However, the project faced immediate backlash and ridicule from the public.
In Project Tamriel, the modders aimed to bring over elements from Morrowind, Oblivion, and Skyrim, including landscapes, quests, equipment, and gameplay mechanics inspired by Skyrim. Despite acknowledging the monumental task ahead, they invited others to join their Discord server to help make this ambitious dream a reality.
The Reddit community’s response was less than supportive, with comments poking fun at the project’s timeline. Despite initial skepticism, the team behind Project Tamriel clarified that their intentions were genuine.
Following the lukewarm reception, we realized that the broader community wasn’t as enthusiastic about our project as we had hoped. While we won’t be pursuing this specific endeavor further, we hope our experience will inspire others in the modding community to pursue their grand ideas.
Statement from User New-Star-340, representing the project on Reddit
The project lead expressed openness to others taking on the challenge of bringing Tamriel to Starfield in the future.
