Sudan Evacuations: A Summary of Monday’s Events

Foreign diplomats are being evacuated from Sudan as fighting continues into a second week. The U.S. has already evacuated almost 100 people, mostly embassy employees, with the help of helicopters from Djibouti. France, Britain, and Germany have followed suit. India has two military aircraft and a naval vessel on standby to evacuate its citizens, while China has asked its citizens to register if they want to be rescued. Meanwhile, Sudanese citizens continue to flee, often facing greater risks than diplomats or aid workers.
