Starfield’s Voice Actor Criticizes Console Fanboys as Disappointing Individuals

Elías Toufexis, an⁢ actor known for voicing Adam ‌Jensen, the main protagonist of Deus‌ Ex, and currently playing the role of Sam Kow in Bethesda’s latest game – ‍Starfield, has decided to⁢ share his opinion on a topic that is⁣ still very relevant in the gaming‍ market: the console⁢ war.

The infamous⁢ console war is ‌characterized by a special kind of rivalry that is inherent ‍in many gamers who defend platform A or B, using arguments such as the technical capabilities offered‌ by one platform and not the⁤ other,⁢ or⁢ even the exclusivity of a certain game.

Starfield, which officially released on September 6th, is at the center of⁤ this war as it⁢ is only available on Xbox/PC,⁣ and it has experienced various technical errors and⁤ NPCs‍ that have been‌ mocked on the internet. It is these elements that contribute to ⁣the heated passions among those who are willing to “fight” over games‍ or companies.

Ultimately, the actor himself became caught in the crossfire. At the end of last month, a ⁤few days before the early release of Starfield, the actor wrote on his Xbox account (formerly Twitter) the following: “Console War fanboys are simply ‌the⁢ best. Wait,‌ not the best, another word… uh… hilariously pathetic.”

Elías also found it intriguing that one user kept replying to all his tweets‍ with “writes 30 fps.” The actor and voice⁤ actor then questioned himself, “Why is this guy constantly writing ’30 fps’ ‍to me?” He then decided to look ⁣at this person’s profile and discovered that⁤ they wrote ”30 fps” on everything related to Starfield. “I thought he probably‌ spent a⁢ whole hour doing that!” ⁣the actor recalls. Obviously, the messages Elías received were a kind‌ of mockery⁣ of the fact that the game runs⁢ at 30 fps ‍on Xbox Series S and X.

In addition to his role as Sam Kow, Toufexis also assisted Ali Ward Azavedo in her role as Cora, a character in the‍ game. Furthermore, the actor is somewhat saddened that so many people involved in the creation of Starfield did not receive the deserved attention.

According ⁣to the actor, everyone worked hard to do a good ⁢job, and if someone doesn’t like it, that’s perfectly fine, but attacking ‌everyone involved in its creation is unnecessary.
