Starfield: Unleashing Next-Gen Possibilities – Interact with Characters’ Hair

The updated Creation Engine 2 game engine never ceases to amaze. In addition to working ladders‌ and controllable ships, the game also ‌features realistic hair physics -⁣ the characters’ hair (especially long⁢ hair)⁣ is not static and moves when in⁣ motion.

Starfield players have discovered that hair not only reacts to‍ movement, but also to attempts to ‍grab it. To do this, you ⁤need to ‍approach a ⁣non-playable character and hold the “E” key, as if you were trying to pick up a small object, and then move the mouse to the sides -‍ when ⁣you move the mouse, you would be tugging their hair from side to ⁤side.⁣ Interestingly, NPCs⁤ don’t react ‍at⁣ all to this.

It is unknown‍ whether this feature was intentionally implemented or accidental,‌ however, such a detail brings a smile and reminds us of many unnoticed but interesting little details from ⁢Red Dead Redemption 2.

It remains to be seen whether it will be possible to use the ability to tug characters’… other body parts that can be given⁢ physics ⁤using mods.
