The updated Creation Engine 2 game engine never ceases to amaze. In addition to working ladders and controllable ships, the game also features realistic hair physics - the characters’ hair (especially long hair) is not static and moves when in motion.
Starfield players have discovered that hair not only reacts to movement, but also to attempts to grab it. To do this, you need to approach a non-playable character and hold the “E” key, as if you were trying to pick up a small object, and then move the mouse to the sides - when you move the mouse, you would be tugging their hair from side to side. Interestingly, NPCs don’t react at all to this.
It is unknown whether this feature was intentionally implemented or accidental, however, such a detail brings a smile and reminds us of many unnoticed but interesting little details from Red Dead Redemption 2.
It remains to be seen whether it will be possible to use the ability to tug characters’… other body parts that can be given physics using mods.
