Imagine Gwen Stacy’s Ghost Spider making an appearance in Insomniac’s Marvel’s Spider-Man games. Although she was known as Peter Parker’s love interest in the comics, her multiversal variant, who became Ghost Spider after being bitten by a radioactive spider, has brought her back into the spotlight.
A mod test by TangoTeds showcases Gwen as she assists Otto Octavius, stepping into Peter Parker’s role as his lab assistant. The footage reveals her unmasked and later fully suited up, swinging through the city after a conversation with Mary Jane.
Using the Spider-Gwen Voice Overhaul mod by SpartanK96, the clips replace Peter’s dialogue with Gwen Stacy’s voice. However, TangoTeds clarifies that this is just a “mod test” and not a call for AI to replace voice actors.
Leaked trailers for Insomniac’s multiplayer game, Spider-Man: The Great Web, hint at Gwen Stacy’s arrival in the Marvel Universe. The game features playable characters like symbiote-enhanced Peter Parker, Miles Morales’ Spider-Man, Ghost Spider, Scarlet Spider, and Miguel O’Hara’s Spider-Man from 2099.
While most character models were recycled, Ghost Spider’s design and movements were unique. Silk and other Spider-Women were teased in concept art, with Silk likely to appear in a future title. However, the focus remains on Peter and Miles’ story, setting up a showdown with Green Goblin and Doc Ock, rather than a multiversal adventure.
