Sony has recently introduced two lower-cost versions of its small form-factor full-frame A7C series cameras, similar to what it did with the ZV-E1 vlogging camera. The new models are the A7C II, which has a 33-megapixel resolution and is based on the A7 IV, and the A7C R, a mini-me version of the A7R V with a 61-megapixel resolution. These models are almost as powerful as their larger counterparts and come with important ergonomic updates, although they lack some features that professionals may consider essential.

Let’s start with the A7C R, as it is a completely new model. It features a softer and grippier material, along with a deeper handle. Additionally, it comes with an add-on grip that extends the length, providing a place to rest your pinky finger. This is a nice addition, but it also makes the camera less compact.
