Samsung has unveiled its latest Galaxy smartphones with advanced artificial intelligence features. The company aims to reclaim its position as the world’s top phone seller from Apple. The new Galaxy S24 Ultra has the ability to translate foreign language phone calls and texts in real-time. It also offers a unique search function that allows users to circle a phrase or image they want to search. The phone’s camera powers have also been enhanced with generative AI. Samsung’s AI features are powered both from the cloud and the phone itself. The iPhone 16 is rumored to have similar AI features. The Galaxy S24 series will begin shipping on January 31, with the Ultra starting at $1,299. Samsung’s 12-year run as the world’s biggest selling smartphone was ended by Apple’s iPhone in 2023. Samsung also teased a smart ring at the end of the event, providing a glimpse on screen but giving no details.
