Back in 2013, Instagram introduced direct messaging tools, but there was no way to edit them after sending. However, that has changed now. Meta has just released a software update for the Instagram app, allowing for DM edits, with a 15-minute window for making changes.
Here’s how it works: If you send a direct message and realize you’ve made a mistake, you can press and hold the sent message to access a dropdown menu. From there, you can select “edit” and make the necessary changes within 15 minutes.
