Fortnite Festival, a new mode introduced by Epic, combines the game’s love for big-name concerts and its acquisition of Harmonix two years ago. This mode serves as a social space where players can collaborate to perform their favorite songs or create new mixes together.
The new mode offers two stages for users to play in. The main stage, also known as the championship stage, recreates the Rock Band experience within Fortnite. Players can form a band with friends and select a song to perform. They will then play the song using the familiar music game format, where notes slide down vertical bars and players must press the correct button when the note reaches the bottom. As they play, players can hear the song, which can be a bit embarrassing if their skills aren’t up to par.
