Dead Space remake

Publisher Electronic Arts put a heavy task on the shoulders of Motive Studios – to breathe new life into the legendary Dead Space series, starting with a remake of the original. The long-awaited project finally reached the release, so we quickly launched the game and plunged into the nostalgic atmosphere of cosmic horror. Wiping the blood of necromorphs off the protective shield of the engineer’s helmet and rushing to share what came out of it.

We will not talk about every pixel of the Dead Space remake, so we rush to Ishimura and immediately try to dispel the hopes of envious – the updated version even succeeded technically. Motive Studios under the careful guidance of Electronic Art (it turns out that they can not only violate all conceivable labor laws, but also manage) looked around at the big releases of recent years from other studios and made an amazing move – released Dead Space in perfect condition. No bugs, no FPS losses, no jerky animations, no sound problems, and other negative details were detected by us.

Let’s go to look into every corner and enjoy the high realism of graphics and quality modeling. Shadows, lighting, particles, effects – all at the highest level almost without compromise. The only exception is the lack of a full replacement of models. “Smart” developers did not redraw absolutely all objects, so they used old templates in some places. This is only a trick to simplify and speed up the development process, no more.

Dead Space has been remade and is better than ever. For fans of the classic 2008 video game, you’re likely to see something familiar, yet with all the latest gaming technology, the experience is unlike anything before.

The story follows Isaac Clarke, the protagonist, who is sent to the USG Ishimura with a group of engineers tasked with fixing the malfunctioning planetary mining ship. While on the Ishimura, Clarke finds himself constantly fighting against an alien species known as Necromorphs. It’s up to Clarke to battle his way through a nightmare as he attempts to evade an alien infestation and uncover the secrets of the Ishimura.

The game features an impressive visual upgrade, featuring updated character models and textures. The cutscenes are also more detailed, providing more atmosphere and tension throughout the game. It also has improved sound design and a more intense score that really brings the game to life. It’s clear the remastered game has taken full advantage of the hardware power available today.

Gameplay hasn’t changed much, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing as the original was already lauded as highly immersive. Players will be able to traverse the Ishimura, fighting off Necromorphs and solving puzzles to progress through the game. New weapons and abilities are also featured, along with a range of updated visuals and sound effects.

The game was already an intense experience back in 2008 and the remake has only improved upon it. Fans of the original will be pleased to see how the remaster has enhanced the visuals and sound design, making the experience even grander than before. With plenty of action and tense moments, Dead Space is once again proving to be a unique and exciting game.
