Forbes has seen emails indicating that X now has a task force called the “@Handle Team” working on establishing a marketplace for purchasing handles associated with inactive accounts. X updated its policy this year, stating that users must log in every 30 days to maintain activity. If users fail to do so, their accounts may be suspended or permanently removed. The exact duration of inactivity required for an account to be removed from the platform remains unclear.
