In April, it was announced that Waypoint, VICE’s video game website, would be shutting down. However, the site and its podcast have found a new home. The staff, which includes former Kotaku staff, has launched Remap. It will essentially be the same as Waypoint, but not under VICE’s management. The team now owns their own work, which is the future of serious and <a href="https://news.ad-astra.icu/remap-reigns-as-waypoint-bows-out.html” title=”Remap Reigns as Waypoint Bows Out”>quality independent video game coverage. They can be immensely proud of this.
While still in the formative stages, Remap will be broadcasting on Twitch, have a Twitter account, and most importantly, a website with subscription tiers. People can sign up to enjoy the team’s work, such as the podcast Remap Radio, and more importantly, support it.
