The remake of Resident Evil 4 may receive additional content in the near future, judging by some changes being made on Steam.
As seen from the Steam database, two branches – re_mas_00 and re_mas_02 – have been updated in the past few days. It is likely that CAPCOM is adding files to the game and testing them before a public release. Since the Tokyo Games Show is just around the corner, it is possible that a paid or free DLC will be announced during the event.
In contrast to Resident Evil Village, which had its DLC development started only after some time after the game’s release on PC and consoles, work on additional content for the Resident Evil 4 remake has been ongoing even before the game’s release. According to a reliable insider, the Separate Ways DLC will be released by the end of the year. The Mercenaries Mode will also receive an update closer to the release of the DLC expansion, which will introduce four more characters - Leon Mafia, Ada, Ada in the original RE4 outfit, and Wesker – as well as a new Extreme mode.
