Putin Applauds Trump’s Call for Peace in Ukraine at BRICS Summit

During a summit of the⁤ BRICS bloc in ‍Kazan, Russia, Russian President Vladimir Putin praised US ⁣presidential⁤ candidate ‍Donald Trump’s commitment to resolving the Ukraine conflict as genuine.

Putin emphasized that Moscow cannot be⁢ defeated on the battlefield‍ and insisted that any ⁢peace ‌agreement must acknowledge Russia’s control over parts of Ukrainian territory.

At the summit, leaders urged for an end to the fighting in Ukraine, with Trump expressing doubts‍ about US aid to Ukraine ⁣and proposing a swift resolution ⁢if elected.

Putin appreciated ‍Trump’s efforts to bring peace ⁢to ⁤Ukraine and stated ⁣his openness to peace initiatives from BRICS leaders while emphasizing the‌ importance of considering “realities on⁣ the ground.”
