The developers of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 are dedicated to optimizing the game for smooth performance on graphics cards at the level of GTX 1060.
Following the release of the impressive S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 trailer and a subsequent delay in the release date, there were concerns about potential silence from GSC Game World. However, the studio has been actively engaging with the media and sharing fresh details, indicating positive progress towards the game’s September release. The developers have also provided insights into the optimization of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl.
In a recent interview with the Chinese publication Gamersky, GSC Game World emphasized that optimizing S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 is their top priority. The team is committed to achieving smooth gameplay and ensuring the game is playable even on low-power systems, which has contributed to the release date delays.
While the final system requirements for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 have not been announced, the developers are actively working on optimization and aim to achieve 60 FPS on consoles in performance mode. For PC, a wide range of settings will be available to accommodate weak hardware, with a GTX 1060 level graphics card potentially being included in the minimum requirements.
Additionally, GSC Game World recently shared the atmospheric music accompaniment of the game, further building anticipation for the game’s release on September 5, 2024, on PC and Xbox.
