Today, NVIDIA released a new Game Ready driver (version 536.67) for its GeForce graphics cards. The driver provides optimization for many different products, starting with the recently released Portal: Prelude RTX and upcoming games Remnant 2 (developed by Gunfire Games and releasing on July 25th with DLSS 2) and Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart (developed by Insomniac/Nixxes and releasing on July 26th with DLSS 2, DLSS 3, DLAA).
Furthermore, it provides the best performance when using RTX IO and Microsoft DirectStorage in Portal: Prelude RTX and Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart respectively. The latter will be, as mentioned earlier, the first DirectStorage 1.2 game with GPU-based decompression support.
This Game Ready driver is also optimized for the upcoming RTX 4060 Ti 16GB. NVIDIA has noted that partners such as ASUS, Colorful, Gainward, Galax, Gigabyte, INNO3D, MSI, Palit, PNY, and Zotac will start selling the 16GB version of the RTX 4060 Ti starting this month. Although the performance is very similar, NVIDIA stated that in “a few” games, you should play at “High” settings on the RTX 4060 Ti 8GB and “Ultra” on the RTX 4060Ti 16GB.
As usual, you can download the new GeForce Game Ready driver via GeForce Experience or from the NVIDIA website.
