New Release: Deathbound, a Soul-inspired Game, Coming to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series

In a surprising turn of events, Tate Multimedia and TrialForge Studio unveiled Deathbound, ‍a thrilling role-playing action game initially exclusive to PC. However, the developers have⁣ now revealed plans to launch console ‌versions simultaneously with the PC‌ release.

Set in a world shaped by the remnants of advanced technology, ⁢Deathbound depicts‍ a society plunged ⁣into a neo-medieval era where religious zealots clash with followers of forbidden sciences. Players‍ assume the role of ⁢a ‌warrior challenging the oppressive Church of Death.

What sets this Brazilian studio’s creation apart⁣ from other soulslike games is the innovative squad system integrated into a single character. The protagonist can assimilate fallen warriors’ skills and seamlessly switch‌ between combat styles mid-battle. However, the character can only retain memories of‌ four heroes at a time. As ‍battles progress, a synchronization gauge⁢ fills up, enabling devastating attacks by combining the strengths of all collected souls.

The unforgiving world of Deathbound is littered with‍ corpses, ‌but suitable bodies for the ritual are scarce. Careful selection of squad members ⁣is crucial, as ⁣conflicting personalities can prove to be a hindrance during critical moments.

The anticipated release of Deathbound on PC (Steam,‍ GOG, Epic Games Store), PlayStation 5, and Xbox‍ Series ⁤is slated for 2024. The game will feature Russian subtitles, and a demo version is available⁤ on the Valve store.
