TLoU’s showrunners, Neil Druckmann and Craig Mazin, were celebrated at the Writers Guild Awards 2024 ceremony after a lengthy strike delayed the event. The night of April 15 finally saw the deserving winners take home their statues, with “The Last of Us” emerging victorious in the “Best script of a new series” category.
Neil Druckmann, thanks to the success of “The Last of Us”, clinched his second trophy from the Writers Guild of America. The list of winners at WGA 2024 included titles like “The Abandoned”, “American Pulp Fiction”, “Pigeon Tunnel”, “The Heirs”, ”The Bear”, “Rodent”, “One of Us”, “Lady Quiz”, and even an episode of “The Simpsons”.
