Introducing the new prime minister
Paetongtarn, 37, the youngest child of Thaksin Shinawatra, emerged as the new prime minister with strong support from her party and allies in parliament.
Known as Ung-Ing, she is a graduate of Chulalongkorn University and previously managed her family’s hotel business before entering politics in 2021.
