The Creative Director of Remedy shed light on the upcoming remakes of Max Payne and Max Payne 2.
In a recent interview with Sam Lake, he was asked about the remakes and how the initial announcement by Remedy suggested that it would be a serious project. Lake replied that the project is indeed large and requires a lot of work.
Even if we’re talking about old games, just thinking about bringing them up to modern standards and merging them into one whole, you can understand that it’s a big, big project.
When asked if he intends to reprise his role as Max from the first game, Lake laughed.
“No comments!” he replied. “That goes too far”.
In April 2022, Remedy announced that they had started working on remakes of the first two games in the Max Payne series.
The games will be sold as a single package and will be available on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC.
