Mastering the Adamantine Forge Boss in Baldur’s Gate 3: Defeating Grym

If⁤ you want to successfully craft items in Baldur’s Gate ⁤3’s Adamantine Forge, you’ll⁤ need to take ⁢down Grym the Adamantine Golem first. This boss is no pushover,‌ with high ⁢health and ⁢a range of immunities and resistances.‌ But ‌fear not, there are⁤ tactics to make this fight easier, even on the challenging Honor Mode difficulty.

Encountered at the end of ⁢the quest to find and use the Adamantine Forge, Grym must be defeated ⁢before you ⁤can collect any ⁢items.‌ The quest involves exploring the Grymforge, collecting‍ gear molds, and Mithral Ore for ‌the⁤ forging process. With limited resources, you can only ⁤craft two of the six different Adamantine Forge ⁤items.

When facing Grym,‌ a strong party composition with mobile or⁢ tanking companions and ranged weapons is essential. Grym is immune to damage unless it has the Superheated debuff,⁣ which is applied when it’s in contact⁢ with lava. Flood the area with lava to maintain‍ the debuff and use blunt ‍weapons or ⁣the Forge Hammer to exploit its vulnerability to Bludgeoning damage.

To defeat Grym, lure it to the Crucible‍ platform and trigger the Forge⁢ Hammer by ⁣interacting with the Forge‍ Lever. This will deal immense Bludgeoning damage and knock Grym Prone, making it much easier to ⁤defeat.
