If your children aren’t interested in watching one of the five NBA games scheduled for Christmas Day, you can switch to Disney+, ESPN+, or ESPN2 for a unique Disney-themed experience. ESPN has revealed that they will be broadcasting a special version of the San Antonio Spurs versus the New York Knicks game called “Dunk the Halls,” featuring animated Disney characters.
The broadcast will begin at 12PM Eastern Time. However, if you prefer to watch the regular game played by human players, it will also be available on Disney+, ESPN+, ABC, and ESPN.
Using Sony’s Beyond Sports technology, “Dunk the Halls” will transform Madison Square Garden into Main Street USA from Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom. The game will include beloved Disney characters such as Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Goofy, Donald and Daisy Duck, as well as Santa Claus and his elves from Prep & Landing.
This marks the NBA’s first venture into airing a game with animated characters and graphic overlays. It is sure to be a memorable event for fans of both basketball and Disney!
