Selecting a team that has type advantages is crucial for defeating Team GO Rocket Leader Sierra in Pokémon GO in January 2024. Despite Sierra’s team remaining the same as it was at the end of 2024, it is arguably the most balanced among all three Leaders this month.
In order to challenge Team GO Boss Giovanni this January, you must defeat Sierra, along with Cliff and Arlo. Although Sierra’s team has changed in recent months, she will still choose from the same seven Pokémon she had in December 2023.
This month, Sierra will once again start with the tricky Dark- and Ghost-type Sableye in Pokémon GO. She has three diverse options to choose from for her second Pokémon: Psychic- and Fairy-type Gardevoir, Steel- and Flying-type Skarmory, or Generation 1 Poison-type Muk.

Sierra’s lineup in Pokémon GO this January can be difficult for Trainers to overcome, and due to the variety in her lineup, it is impossible to have a super-effective advantage against all of her options.
